It wasn’t exactly the midnight meeting time she requested in her song “Lavender Haze,” but Taylor Swift Anyway, he made it to the 2024 Grammys on Sunday.
She hit the red carpet at the awards show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles wearing a strapless couture look by Schiaparelli, a dramatic long white gown with a thigh-high slit and a swirling train, topped with a sculptural bodice. Her sartorial drama didn’t stop there: She accessorized with black velvet opera gloves and layers of black and white jewels around her neck, including a clock face set to (you guessed it) midnight. Swift wore her hair in a fishtail braid that wrapped from one ear to over her shoulder, and topped it all off with her signature (classic) red lip.

The look, in a newspaper-worthy black-and-white and red color palette, does nothing to discourage rumors that Swift’s announcement Reputation (Taylor version) The re-recording of the album cannot be far away. The original cover of that album used a journalistic motif of Swift’s face, referencing the media attention she had been receiving. No snakes (another repeated motif of hers Reputation era) were immediately visible in their Grammys outfit, but that’s the thing about snakes, right? You can’t always spot them so easily.
Although it was initially speculated that she and her boyfriend Travis Kelce—the Super Bowl-bound Kansas City Chiefs tight end—could use the ceremony to make their red carpet debut as a couple, the world is still waiting. In an interview Wednesday before the ceremony, Kelce confirmed that he would not be attending, as he would instead be preparing for the upcoming Super Bowl with his team.
“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and see her win every award she’s nominated for,” he said. “But I think I have practice on Sunday.”
He added: “Unfortunately, I have to prepare for this big Super Bowl that we’re going to have in a week.”
Of his relationship with Swift, Kelce said, “It’s a beautiful thing, right?” She continued, “Hopefully everyone realizes that we’re just two people in a relationship, supporting each other and having fun, man. It is nothing more than that. As much as the world wants to paint the picture and make us enemies, we just have fun and enjoy every detail. And sure enough, I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with my family and friends. It’s been nothing but a wonderful year, man.”
