Taylor Swift Eras Tour Takes Over Disney Plus Homepage

Oh Taylor Swift, look what you made Disney+ do.

The streaming service just released the film. Taylor Swift: The Era’s Tour (Taylor version)and to celebrate the premiere, it has made Swift the home page of Disney+, with a takeover inspired by Taylor Swift.

The acquisition will put The Era’s Tour film front and center, of course, but other sections will be created and curated to reflect some of Swift’s albums.

While Disney+ typically features curated collections of movies and TV shows based on themes like “Princesses,” “Funny Families” and “Throwbacks,” it will now include sections with names like “Red,” “Folklore” and “Evermore,” all labeled “Disney Version.”

Among the collections will be “1989 (Disney Version),” which features projects from Swift’s birth year such as The little Mermaid and Honey I shrunk the kids; Fearless (Disney Version), with titles like Moana, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Limitless with Chris Hemsworth; and Folklpre (Disney version) with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobeand of course, Taylor Swift: Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.

The tour of the era The film was a coup for Disney+, with several streaming services vying for exclusive rights to the film, which includes four additional songs not available in the theatrical releases or on home video.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the acquisition of the film during the company’s latest earnings call, and the company paid $75 million for the rights (that’s on top of the $261.1 million the company film has grossed at the box office worldwide).
