On February 11, the San Francisco 49ers will assume the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. But drama is unfolding between the parties, as Taylor Swift is dating Travis Kelce, who is clashing with Lisa’s son. Christian McCaffrey.
Since Swift (obviously) supports the Chiefs, Christian McCaffrey’s mother wants nothing to do with the ‘Blank Space’ singer since her son is on the 49ers. In fact, she says she goes so far as to boycott the pop icon.
Lisa McCaffrey is boycotting Taylor Swift ahead of the Super Bowl
Lisa McCaffrey recently talked about the upcoming NFL game on her “Your Mom” podcast. As Christian and his family prepare for the Super Bowl, Lisa says they refuse to listen to any Taylor Swift songs this week.
“I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next few days,” he said on the podcast. “I love her, I love the relationship, but we’re boycotting any T. Swift songs,” she added.
As you know, Taylor Swift has taken the sports world by storm this year after she and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, made their announcement public in September. Although Lisa admits that she loves the pop icon, she stated that “if she appears on the radio station… no.”
“She’s dead to us this week.” Lisa concluded the podcast.
Lisa McCaffrey says Super Bowl suites are too expensive
This latest news comes after Lisa blamed Taylor Swift’s effect on sports for the current Super Bowl prices.
“Simply put, they’re outrageously expensive… I don’t know if it’s the Taylor Swift factor, I don’t know if it’s the first time in Vegas, there’s so much going on.”
Lisa said the prices were so high that neither her son, who earns approximately $16 million per NFL season, nor her future daughter-in-law, Olivia Culpo, who has an estimated net worth of $7 million. I can’t afford a suite at Allegiant Stadium.
I blame, however, surprised Lisa with a Super Bowl suitesquashing rumors about her and Christian’s income, proving that they can, in fact, afford a suite at the big game.
Taylor Swift could make it to the Super Bowl
It’s unclear if Taylor Swift will be able to attend the game to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, as she has a big show in Tokyo the night before.
As you may already know, Taylor’s Eras tour will resume next week and her first shows will take place in Tokyo, Japan, 5,530 miles from where the Super Bowl will be played. However, many reports and sources claim that it is feasible and that Taylor will make the “brutal” flight to be there for Travis.
The Japanese Embassy issued a statement saying travel time is possible, but Taylor has yet to announce whether he will make time in his busy schedule for the Super Bowl.
Anyway, we’ll have to wait and see if the ‘Blank Space’ singer will make the trip.
