Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn shared a series of rare photos on Instagram as fans of the pop superstar hope she shares more about their quiet romance on her upcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
On Monday, just two days before turning 33 on February 21, the British actor uploaded a carousel of images That started with a shot of him taking a mirror selfie in the woods with a film camera.
He also posted photos of himself sharing a drink with friends and an adorable canine companion, as well as snaps of the ocean, an empty casino and a Los Angeles landscape. Alwyn completed the collection with what appears to be a photograph of himself as a child.
The “Harriet” star, whose last Instagram post was made in September 2023, left no captions and also disabled comments on her latest upload to the social media app.
Swift, 34, split from Alwyn in spring 2023 after six years together.
The superstar announced the April release of “The Tortured Poets Department” at the 2024 Grammys earlier this month.
In her acceptance speech for best pop vocal album for “Midnights,” she said she had kept the project a secret for two years, a period of time that overlaps with her relationship with Alwyn.

Swifties soon theorized that the LP’s name is a wild nod to the group chat Alwyn shared with friends Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott.
“JOES GROUPCHAT (sic) W PAUL WAS CALLED THE TORTURED MEN’S CLUB,” one fan wrote via X.
Another added: “apparently Joe and Paul Mescal’s whatsapp gc was called ‘the tortured men’s club’ LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO.”
Echoing many others, one Swift fan expressed excitement at the possibility of her spilling tea about her time with Alwyn.
“I’m actually already very obsessed with the concept of this album,” the person enthused. “’All’s fair in love and poetry’ is saying ‘you treated me the way you did and it’s only fair that I write about it.’”
In 2022, Alwyn and Mescal, 28, told variety who were part of a boys-only group chat called “The Tortured Man Club,” created by Scott, 47.
“(Scott) does it every day. He’s alone in this,” Mescal said at the time, to which Alwyn joked, “He only texts each other good morning.”
Alwyn previously spoke about “The Tortured Man’s Club” on an interview with GQ UKexplaining that the name “is, I guess, a reflection of Connell and Nick,” the role he played in the movie “Conversations with Friends.”
Despite what Swift has in store for listeners on “The Tortured Poets Department,” a source previously told Page Six that the former couple’s breakup was “not dramatic.”
Alwyn hasn’t been publicly linked to anyone new since dating Swift.
Meanwhile, the Grammy winner moved on with NFL player Travis Kelce, who just won this year’s Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs. The two went public in September 2023.
