This EID season, tremendous star performer and actor Ajay Devgn will take the audience on an emotional journey with the film Maidaan. Just a while ago, the makers confirmed that the film will hit theaters on April 10. The film is a biopic of renowned football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the man who revolutionized the sport in India. Badhaai Ho fame Amit Sharma is the director.
Keerthy Suresh was supposed to play Ajay Devgn’s wife in the film but was later replaced by Priyamani. In a recent interview, director Amit Sharma revealed the reason behind her replacement. Amit Sharma said, “Regarding the role of Abdul Rahimi’s wife, I had a certain idea in mind and I wanted the female lead to appear that way. But Keerthy lost more weight during that time and that’s why she was replaced.”
The film also stars Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh in crucial roles. Boney Kapoor, in collaboration with ZEE Studios, produced this biopic. Oscar winner AR Rahman composed the tunes.
