Mark Dodson, whose unique voice characterizations powered the films’ creatures. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and gremlinsHe has died at the age of 64.

His daughter told TMZ that he died while in Evansville, Indiana, to attend Horror Con. He checked into a hotel and suffered a “massive heart attack” while he slept, she said.

Dodson was the voice of Salacious Crumb, the scruffy little creature who was a giggly sidekick to Jabba the Hut in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. That memorable voice led to a concert in gremlinswhere he became the voice of Mogwai, widely imitated in schoolyards.
