‘The Boys’ Star Erin Moriarty Slams Megyn Kelly Over Plastic Surgery Claims

Erin Moriarty has called out Megyn Kelly’s allegations that the actress underwent extreme plastic surgery. In a sentence posted on Instagram on Friday, Boys Star posted that these “disgustingly false” claims came during “one of the most challenging weeks of my life.”

In the post, Moriarty writes that last week left her “so stressed” that she “could barely eat or sleep.” After losing weight during this time, Moriarty thought that “the verbal abuse/accusations” would come and that her fans might see her and accuse her of drug use.

“We are all subject to levels of harassment throughout our lives, but I am horrified and felt I deserved to take a second to address these things,” Moriarty’s statement read. “Receiving a message about a disgustingly false and counterproductive to the point of being ironically misogynistic video from Megyn Kelly commenting on the way it has left me horrified.”

Kelly made these comments in a January 17 episode of his podcast: The Megyn Kelly Showwith guest Michael Knowles from The daily cable. After Knowles called plastic surgery a “social disease,” Kelly took aim at Moriarty for having an “addiction” to altering her appearance.

“This is not an objection to plastic surgery, this is an obsession with becoming this false version of yourself,” Kelly said. “I find it a sign of mental illness.”

Kelly then showed her audience a “relatively recent” image of the star with a new photo, expressing her concern and the perceived difference between the two images. “I thought it was an AI-generated face,” Kelly said. “She has done this to herself.”

While responding to Kelly’s claims, Moriarty debunked the claim that the first image was “relatively recent.”

“Megyn used a photo taken ‘a year ago’ according to her, which had actually been taken about a decade ago before I was of LEGAL DRINKING AGE,” Moriarty, now 29, continued. “It’s appalling to see people we follow and consider informed are completely uninformed, inaccurate and clickbait.”

Moriarty continued: “I put on makeup that day and it involves major contouring and I remember leaving feeling very pretty. And even that day was immensely stressful for me,” the actress wrote. “But this is turning into harassment. “This is becoming fake news.”
