The Crow remake images reveal first look at Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven

New images have revealed the first official look at the upcoming remake of The Raven.

It will hit theaters in June The Raven is a reinvention featuring Bill Skarsgård (He, John Wick: Chapter 4) in the lead role. He plays a new incarnation of Eric Draven.the role played by Brandon Lee in the original film adaptation. FKA Twigs also plays Shelly Webster, Eric’s fiancée.. By vanity fair, a trio of first-look images from the film have been released, revealing the first look of Skarsgård and FKA Twigs in their respective roles. Photos can be seen below.

Crow reboot billed as ‘anti-Marvel movie’ by producer

A producer on the upcoming The Crow reboot says the film will “wow people” and could be the start of a major new franchise.

Inspired by James O’Barr’s comic series, The Raven It stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven, a gothic rock musician who is brutally murdered along with his fiancée, Shelly (FKA Twigs), only to return from the dead with the help of a mysterious raven to exact revenge. Danny Huston also plays the villain and the film was directed by Rupert Sanders from a script co-written by Zach Baylin and Will Schneider.

“I never did any testing between Bill and Twigs.Sanders told Vanity Fair about the film’s lead stars. “I invited them to dinner when they first arrived (on set) in Prague and I was a bit like a nervous dad looking to see if there were any sparks, because you don’t know. and they were great. “They hung out and got really into it.”

Eric Draven gets an updated look

The new Eric Draven looks destroyed in the first photos of The Raven. Sanders has suggested that this version of The Crow’s appearance is inspired more by his own life than the original depiction of the character in the comic along with Brandon Lee’s version in the 1994 film. The director spoke further about how he also They interspersed some modern influences.

“I think the beauty of Bill is that he has a haunting beauty.“And as he transforms through his loss, it becomes something that not even he can control,” Sanders said. “It’s that famous phrase: ‘Whoever fights monsters must be careful not to become one.’ That look was mine in the ’90s, when we were raving in London (mixed with some modern influences) like Post Malone and Lil Peep.. I hope that people who are 19 years old today look at him and say, ‘That guy is us.'”

The Raven It will be released in theaters on June 7, 2024.
