Don’t tell Dakota Johnson there are no small roles.

He appeared in the 2013 comedy finale. The office, thinking she would be a part-day player and that’s it. We’ll let her explain the rest.

“Honestly, that was the worst moment of my life,” Johnson said in Late Night with Seth Meyers. “I love that show and they said, ‘Do you want to be in the series finale?’ and I said, ‘Of course,’ thinking I’d show up for like half a day.”

Instead, “I was there for two weeks,” he said, “and I’m barely on the damn show.”

Johnson speaks in a total of two scenes in The office ending, and is also in the background in several scenes. Worse yet, she had to deal with 10 years of repressed emotions from the regular cast.

“Weren’t everyone super sad?” Meyers asked.

“They were sad,” Johnson confirmed. “And there was also a strange dynamic that had been going on for the last 10 years. Some people weren’t talking to each other and I walked in like, ‘Hahaha, I’m so excited to be here,’ and no one wanted to talk to me, no one cared. And I was in the background of all these scenes, faxing things.”
