I watched 30 minutes of ‘Barbie’…

Barbie land could be hell!

The citizens of Barbie Land may look like they’re having a great time on “Barbie,” but it turns out they’re actually living a hellish nightmare…at least according to one legendary film director.

Morgan Springs Uncensored

actor/director Werner Herzog – known for his role as The Client in ‘Mandalorian’ – sat down to watch “Piers Morgan Uncensored” earlier this week when the biggest movie of 2023 came up… and Herzog didn’t mince his words when it came to the movie. .

Werner admitted he only saw about 30 minutes of the Oscar-nominated film… but he has a theory that Barbie Land isn’t a magical wonderland, but rather a place with a much warmer climate.

Herzog said: “I don’t have an answer, but I have a suspicion. Could it be that the world of ‘Barbie’ is a real hell? And, for a movie ticket, as an audience you can witness hell as close as you can. “does it wear?”

Piers told his guest that he had seen the entire film and believes Werner was spot on when it came to his assessment.

Werner’s words are perhaps the most shocking criticism of the film that captivated global audiences and received many awards. It’s nominated for eight Academy Awards this year and grossed over a billion dollars at the box office… not exactly torture for viewers.

Still, it’s not like Barbie won every award this season… it was completely excluded from the BAFTAs and it only won two of the nine Golden Globes for which it competed.

So it seems like “Barbie” isn’t exactly putting critics in a heavenly mindset… but calling parts of the movie hell might be going too far.

FWIW… “Barbie” is up for four SAG Award nominations and the show starts in just a few hours, so we’ll have to wait and see if the guild gives the film its laurels.

However, if Herzog has his way… “Barbie” could be in for another disappointing night.
