Warning: This article contains spoilers The masked singerseason 11, episode 3, “Billy Joel Night.”

It was all Piano Man related in this week’s edition of The masked singer.

That’s right, Wednesday’s theme was Billy Joel Night, and although the legendary singer didn’t appear, his music did: Robin Thicke started the evening with a performance of “My Life” and each contestant was tasked with singing. one of Joel’s other hits, which was also woven into the track packages and onstage track moments throughout the night.

Speaking of contestants, viewers were once again treated to a new group of masked celebrities. The final group of the season, Group C, consisted of Poodle Moth, Clock, Spaghetti & Meatballs, and Lizard.

From there, the process was uneventful, at least compared to the wild way season 11 began. The lovable Poodle Moth (for which Fox should really create some product, hint, hint) began with “Just the Way You Are”, which was followed by Clock singing “Piano Man”, Spaghetti & Meatballs singing “Only the Good Die Young”. ,” and Lizard performing “Uptown Girl.”

When all was said and done, Spaghetti & Meatballs and the Lizard were sent to the second showdown of the season, where they had to battle with Joel’s “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).”

They both fought bravely, but Spaghetti & Meatballs was sent back to the kitchen. Interestingly, during the Lizard portion of the fight, all of the panelists suddenly acted like they knew who he was and made fun of him being someone “iconic.” I guess we’ll have to see if they’re right about that.

As always, before Spaghetti & Meatballs could unmask that gigantic pasta mustache, the judges had to give their final guesses. Among them were Thicke’s Stanley Tucci, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg’s Guy Fieri, Rita Ora’s Gordon Ramsay, and Ken Jeong’s Bobby Flay.

In the end, the panel was close but not fully cooked: the spaghetti and meatballs unmasked to reveal Chef star, television personality and acclaimed restaurateur Joe Bastianich. For those keeping track at home, this means that so far the panel technically hasn’t hit anyone (Kevin Hart doesn’t count since he was unmasked and no formal guesses were made), so season 11 is off to a rocky start for The masked singer gang.
