Karan Singh Grover opened up about his daughter Devi’s critical heart condition in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama. For his information, Bipasha Basu revealed last year that his son was born with two holes in her heart. Karan said BollywoodHungama, “If you knew his story, even though he is 14 months old, he was born with two holes in his heart and we had to go through open heart surgery. When Mamta (Marflix, director Siddharth Anand’s wife) first found out, She’s like, ‘She’s a fighter.’ I was like, ‘Dude, she’s the smallest fighter we have, and she was the first.'”
When asked about his journey as a father and how Bipasha and Karan supported each other through difficult times, he said, “Well, we didn’t really know until the third day of his birth. I would just say that being a father requires a little more strength.” and respect to all fathers, man. And I think it was a very, very difficult situation.”
Earlier, during an Instagram live chat with Neha Dhupia, Bipasha Basu revealed for the first time about her son’s critical condition. The actress said: “Our journey has been very different from that of any normal mother-father, it has been much harder than the smile I have on my face right now. I wouldn’t wish this to happen to any mother. For a new Mother, when you come to know that… I found out on the third day of having a baby that our baby is born with two holes in the heart. I thought I would not share this, but I am sharing it. this because I feel that there are many mothers, who helped me in this path, and it was very difficult to find those mothers…”
Bipasha Basu added that Devi was diagnosed with VSD (ventricular septal defect). The actress said, “We (Bipasha and Karan Singh Grover) didn’t even understand what a VSD is. It’s a ventricular septal defect… We went through a crazy period. We didn’t discuss this with our family, just “We were both a little blurry . “We wanted to celebrate but we were a little numb, Karan and I.”
