The miserable event, which charged attendees £35 per ticket (approximately $45), was discontinued after frustrated attendees called the police and demanded full refunds. While parents in attendance were rightfully upset that the event didn’t go as advertised, people online quickly got to work celebrating the event’s actors, who were given a 15-page AI-generated script, with a cavalcade of funny memes and fan art.

At the epicenter of the viral craze was The Unknown, “an evil chocolate maker who lives in the walls” whose eerie Doctor Doom-style mask and gangly mirror-holding gestures made adults laugh and scared children to death. tears. The social media icon’s strange vibe was captivating enough to convince Kaledonia Pictures, a Scotland-based production company, to announce that he is working on a horror film called The Unknown.
“The film, which is gearing up for production and release in late 2024, follows a renowned illustrator and his wife who are haunted by the tragic death of their son, Charlie. Desperate to escape their grief, the couple leaves the world back in the remote Scotland Highlands, where an unknown evil awaits them,” Kaledonia Pictures told Bloody Disgusting. “We’re excited to start production and hope to be able to share more with you as soon as possible. We’re actually only a few miles away from the event, so it’s quite surreal to see Glasgow on social media around the world.”

We can only hope that the upcoming horror film does the right thing by casting Felicia, the 16-year-old actress behind The Unknown, to reprise her role as the internet’s new favorite cryptid. Since the disastrous event went viral, Felicia has taken to social media to shares his crazy experience behind the scenes with Willy as well as a scrapped fight scene between The Unknown and the legally distinct Willy Wonka.
“At the end of the script, there was supposed to be a fight scene between The Unknown and Willy Wonka, but that was scrapped because there was supposed to be a giant vacuum cleaner sucking The Unknown in. Obviously there wasn’t any vacuum cleaner,” Felicia said. “One of the organizers told us, ‘Just improvise, do whatever you want,’ and Willy Wonka and I said, ‘How can we do whatever we want for that?’
“Because there was only one Stranger, which was me, I had to stay in place the whole time and I couldn’t move around and do the fight scenes because of the time difference and everything, so it just wasn’t going to work.”
Time will tell whether Kaledonia Pictures will salvage The Unknown’s improvised climatic ending or leave it on the cutting room floor when the film is released later this year.
