Kollywood hero Sivakarthikeyan and star director AR Murugadoss have teamed up for an action drama tentatively titled SK23. The announcement came as a surprise to fans as Rukmini Vasanth was cast as the female lead. For the last few days, there were reports that Sita Ramam beauty Mrunal Thakur will essay the female lead.
In a recent interview, AR Murugadoss revealed why he chose Rukmini Vasanth over Mrunal Thakur. The star director said: “We needed someone who looked like a practical young woman. I watched his (Rukmini) films and discovered that her personality was closer to the role I had written.”
Well, Sapta Saagaradaache Ello has indeed put Rukmini Vasanth in the limelight and now she has grabbed a big opportunity in the form of SK23. Let’s see how her debut in Kollywood turns out.
