It’s time to apologize.

Tom Sandoval, star of Vanderpump Ruleswas the subject of a nearly 7,000-word profile in The New York Timeswhere he compared his recent cheating scandal to George Floyd and OJ Simpson.

Now he has apologized.

“My intentions behind the comments I made in the New York Times Magazine were to explain the level of national media attention my matter received. The comparison was inappropriate and ignorant. “I am so sorry and embarrassed,” Sandoval said.

When asked why Scandoval, who started during the Bravo series at the end of last season, had become so big, Sandoval said: “I’m not really a pop culture historian, but I witnessed the OJ Simpson thing and of George Floyd and all that.” These big things, I think it’s really weird to compare this to that, but do you think in some weird way it’s kind of the same?

He also believes that he has suffered more grief than the previous one. That 70’s show star Danny Masterson. “I feel like I have more hate than Danny Masterson, and he’s a convicted rapist,” he added.

Scandoval began when Sandoval, who recently appeared on the Fox show Special Forces reality show, cheated on his then partner Ariana Madix with one of her best friends, Rachel Leviss. He broke out when the Bravo show’s 10th season was airing, but was captured in several reunion specials and its impact extended into season 11, which is currently airing.

Vanderpump Rules is produced by Amazon MGM Studios’ Evolution Media and executive produced by Alex Baskin, Jen McClure-Metz, Joe Kingsley, Jeremiah Smith, Natalie Neurauter, Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd.
