Triptii Dimri replaces Kiara Advani in Diwali 2024 release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has a lot of new things that were not in the first two blockbuster installments of the franchise. The latest of them – Triptii Dimri has joined the cast of the horror comedy film along with Kartik Aaryan, Elnaaz Norouzi and Naseeruddin Shah. Vidya Balan, Sara Ali Khan and Boman Irani are also expected to appear.

The first film in the franchise was released almost 17 years ago on October 12, 2007, and grossed over Rs 82 crore at the box office. It featured OG actor Vidya Balan as the tormented Monjolika and Akshay Kumar as Dr. Aditya Shrivastav, the man who unravels the mystery. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2which had OG actor Tabu in the role of the wronged soul and Kiara Advani as the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan, released in India on May 20, 2022; grossed over Rs 266 crore at the worldwide box office.

Just a few hours after Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan posted a teaser on his social media page about a new ‘mystery girl’ for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, he introduced his new co-star Triptii Dimri with his next posts.

Kartik took to Instagram on Wednesday, February 21, and posted a cutout of a puzzle with a portion of a woman’s face visible, making it difficult to identify the woman immediately as only her lips were visible. She captioned it saying, “Solving kijiye is Bhool Bhulaiyaa ko #Bb3MysteryGirl #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 #Diwali2024.”

An hour later, he posted another part of the puzzle that featured his eyes and had the same creepy background on a table with five candles, a lantern, an ornate lock and key, and a card with the name of the movie printed on it. She captioned it with: “A chilling smile that strikes terror into hearts.” He followed this post with the reveal post that read, ‘Welcome to the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa and tagged Tripti Dimri, with hashtags of the film’s name and details of the release day. Kartik’s announcement posts soon went viral with around seven lakh likes on each one. The Bollywood actress had earlier posted the same photo of herself that Kartik used on her Instagram.

Fan reactions to the post announcing Tripti’s addition to the hit franchise included this: “Bhabhi 2 in Bhool Bhulaiya 3” – a shout-out to Tripti’s memorable role in the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer. Animal. With the announcement of this new movie, she is back on top.
