Trump news live: Snoop Dogg says he has ‘nothing but love’ for former president

Donald Trump’s lawyers have joined a legal effort by one of his co-defendants in the Georgia election interference case to disqualify Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis from prosecuting them.

A complaint filed by Trump’s defense attorneys on Thursday accuses Willis of injecting “racial animus” into the case and violating his prosecutorial responsibilities, pointing to allegations that he hired an outside prosecutor with whom he was romantically involved.

The motion by Trump attorneys Steve Sadow and Jennifer Little follows allegations by co-defendant Mike Roman, who alleged in a court filing that Willis appointed Nathan Wade as lead prosecutor in the case while she was in a romantic relationship with him.

Donald Trump took credit for thwarting a bipartisan border security deal at a political rally in Las Vegas on Saturday.

“As the leader of our party, there is no chance I will support this horrible betrayal of America’s open borders,” Trump told a crowd days before the state’s Feb. 8 presidential rally.

“I will fight until the end. Many senators try to say, respectfully, that they blame me. I say, okay. Please blame me. Please.”

The rapper praised the former president in an interview with The London Times for forgiving Michael Harris, the co-founder of Snoop’s first label, Death Row, who was in prison for drug crimes.
