Twinkle doesn’t want a big pre-wedding party for her kids, says they should elope | bollywood

Actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna has reflected on her children’s weddings as she revealed a conversation with her sister Rinke Khanna. In its Times of India column, Twinkle wrote that they talked about the Ambanis party and how he set the bar high for the festivities. Talking about the same, Twinkle said that the best thing for her children would be to ‘just elope’ as her husband and actor Akshay Kumar can’t stay up late and she can’t dance like Nita Ambani. Twinkle wonders if her daughter Nitara will change her surname after marriage

Twinkle wrote, “We both have daughters and we are wondering if after they get married, they will change, add or keep their already hyphenated surnames. How strange that these questions don’t even come up regarding our children. Same way we have always We have been worried about our daughters and not so much about our sons. Keeping the bedroom door open when the registrar comes; ensuring that the school bus has a female chaperone; making sure that, as little girls, we are not alone even with men of the extended family; and, along with all this, trying to strike a delicate balance between teaching them to be on their guard and yet not be afraid of the world.

Twinkle wants her children to run away

“My sister interrupts my thoughts: ‘You are talking about surnames, but what about all the taam jhaam (all the fuss) we will have to do? The bar is now very high after the Ambani events… I reply “Well , I can’t dance like Nita Bhabhi. The last time I tried to dance with Tamma Tamma Loge during the pandemic, I don’t think even God wanted to see my uncoordinated footwork because I immediately fell and broke my leg. “My husband can barely stay awake after 10 p.m. and we’re both nervous about organizing dinners for more than 20 people.’ I pause to breathe: “If my children really want me to be happy, then the best thing they can do is run away,” she added.
