Twinkle Khanna revealed that during the Christmas holidays, she and her pet dog and actor-husband Akshay Kumar’s daughter Nitara were ‘bitten on both their hands’. In his recent column For The Times of India, the actor-turned-author spoke in detail about Freddie, the pet dog he shares with a cousin and also about his daughter’s attachment to him. Twinkle said Nitara defended his pet even after receiving “three rabies shots and a tetanus shot”, calling it “an accident”. A glimpse into the daughter who was ‘bitten on both hands’
Twinkle Khanna recalled, “This Christmas, someone accidentally placed a plate of chicken satay in front of the children (Aarav and Nitara), while Freddie was nearby. He jumped on the plate and started swallowing the pieces. My 11-year-old son (Nitara), worried that he would swallow the wooden skewers holding the chicken, tried to remove the pointy skewers from his mouth. He bit her on both hands.”
Nitara said the pet “had no intention of biting”
Further recalling Nitara’s reaction to being bitten by the pet, Twinkle wrote: “Three rabies injections and one tetanus injection later, she claims she has no regrets. “It was an accident. She didn’t mean to bite me, and it doesn’t matter as long as Freddie is okay. Now, if he had inadvertently bitten her fingers, not only would there be incessant accusations, but 20 years later, it would be a topic of intense discussion during her therapy sessions.”
Twinkle Khanna often takes to Instagram to share photos and videos of herself with Akshay Kumar, her daughter Nitara and son Aarav, as well as her family members and friends. Nitara is 11 years old, while Aarav is 21.
Twinkle made her acting debut with Barsaat in 1995; After her 2001 film Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, she abandoned her acting career. In 2015, Twinkle made her writing debut with Mrs Funnybones. She followed up with an anthology of stories titled The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which was released in 2017, and the fiction novel Pajamas Are Forgiving, which came out the following year.
