As ‘Paap’ turned 20 on January 30, Udita Goswami, who played a pivotal role in the film, shared some interesting insights about her journey in the industry and the major shift from acting to DJing.

In a candid conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Udita Goswami revealed that she was contemplating a return to modeling after her stint as an actress, and wondered why she entered the field when she didn’t enjoy it. However, due to a perceived setback in her career, she hesitated to take the plunge. Despite these thoughts, she recognized the lucrative nature of her modeling career, earning substantial amounts for one-day photo shoots.

Recalling her experience with ‘Paap’, Udita expressed surprise at the pay disparity between modeling and acting. The compensation offered by the film was equivalent to what she earned for 3 or 4 days of work as a model. This realization led her to question the value actors received for her time. Although the payment for ‘Paap’ was more than what many newcomers received at that time, Udita began to reconsider her career path.

Directed by Pooja Bhatt, ‘Paap’ is a 2003 crime thriller starring John Abraham, Udita Goswami, Gulshan Grover and Mohan Agashe.
