Sony said Tuesday that its third film in the Venom franchise now has a name and a new release date: It’s called Poison: The last dance, and will now open on October 25th this year, not November 8th.
The third sequel will be screened in Imax and PLF.
Kelly Marcel directs Tom Hardy, who plays the black widow creature for the third time. Marcel also wrote the script with a story she co-wrote with Hardy. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Marcel and Hardy are producing.
Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor also star.
Venom 3 moves away from 20th Century Studios’ The fan and lands on the same theatrical release date as Universal/Blumhouse The werewolf and Cinedigm Terrorist 3.
