Video: Jr NTR-Ram Charan’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ makes a cameo at the 2024 Oscars

Jr NTR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ and Ram Charan from SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ made a cameo at the Oscars 2024. The visuals of the song were shown on the big screen during the Best Original Song award presentation. For those who don’t know, ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the Oscar in the same category in 2023 and became the first Indian song to win the trophy.

This year, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo took the stage to announce Best Original Song at the 2024 Oscars. As they walked to the center of the stage, we were able to see footage of last year’s winner, ‘Naatu Naatu’, displayed on the big screen.

The official X page of ‘RRR’ shared the video and captioned the post: “On the #Oscars stage again!!! #RRRMovie (sic),” with three fire emojis.

Not just ‘Naatu Naatu’, the Academy also included the action sequence of ‘RRR’ from the climax as part of the tribute to the world’s best film stunt sequences.

‘Naatu Naatu’ made history by becoming the first song from an Indian production to win in the Best Original Song category. Music director MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose accepted the award on stage.

SS Rajamouli and his family, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana, Jr NTR and his wife Lakshmi Pranathi, attended the Oscars 2023 ceremony and cheered the team.

On the work front, SS Rajamouli is gearing up for his next film with actor Mahesh Babu. The untitled film is expected to be released in summer 2024.
