Video: Rajinikanth attends Vijayakumar’s granddaughter Diya’s wedding in Chennai

Diya, granddaughter of veteran actor Vijayakumar, married Dillan on February 19 at a plush hotel in Chennai. Superstar Rajinikanth arrived at the wedding venue to bless the newlyweds. For those who don’t know, Rajinikanth and Vijayakumar have been friends for decades. A video of Rajinikanth greeting Diya and Dillan at the big event is now doing the rounds on social media.

Diya is the daughter of Anitha Vijayakumar. Vijaykumar’s four daughters and son Arun Vijay with their respective families attended the wedding.

Weeks before the wedding, on February 6, Vijayakumar, along with his daughters, went to Rajinikanth’s house in Poes Garden to personally invite him to the wedding.

On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently shooting for director TJ Gnanavel’s ‘Vettaiyan’. Filming is expected to wrap up in the coming weeks. After ‘Vettaiyan’, Thalaivar will start working on director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next film, which is tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 170’.
