Polls close at 7 pm Eastern Time. In the 2022 state primary, the first results were reported 9 minutes later and the last update of the night was at 9:15 p.m. ET with 99.5 percent of votes reported.
Voters do not register by party, but can only participate in one party’s primaries. The state offered early in-person voting and no-excuse absentee voting. Voters can drop off absentee ballots in person or at a drop box before polls close. They could also return ballots by mail, as long as they were postmarked by Election Day and received by the third day after the election.
The state primaries, which will include races for state and congressional offices, will be held on June 18.
