King’s Day or Koningsdag is a celebration held annually on April 27 to celebrate the birthday of King Willem-Alexander. People wear orange because the royal family is named after “Orange House” (Huis van Oranje), and it is the national color of the Netherlands. Previously known as Queen’s Day, it was renamed after the accession of King Willem-Alexander to the throne in 2013.

In a viral video, the recent King’s Day celebration in Amsterdam saw a lively crowd dancing to Sapna Choudhary’s popular song Teri Aakhya Ka Yo Kajal. Locals and tourists, mostly dressed in orange outfits, were seen dancing enthusiastically. The post received over a million views and the caption read: “When Sapna Choudhary Fever hit the streets of Amsterdam.”

The video not only highlighted the growing influence of Indian music on a global scale, but also demonstrated the power of music to unite people from diverse backgrounds.
