When Debbie Sath came across a post on Instagram of a three-legged stray cat in need of a foster home, she never expected it would bring a miracle into her life.
The cat in question was called Princess Charming. Unfortunately, her story was anything but charming. The unfortunate kitten had lost a leg to cancer and had experienced little human interaction. Doctors gave him six to nine months to live and predicted the cancer would return.
For Debbie, however, it was love at first sight. Immediately, she decided to give up fostering and adopted the cat instead, planning to give him a loving home for as long as she had left.

“When I got Charming, I didn’t think about myself,” Sath said. “I think my concerns were just her. “My focus was just to give her a good life, give her love, take care of her and give her a safe place to heal.”
Every day, Debbie focused on the victories. Give her new pet treats, make her home feel like a safe space, and speak loving words to her.
After about three months, Princess Blue began to come out of her shell. Gradually, the cat’s cautious personality shone through her tough exterior and she began to trust her new mom, and even her brave Pomeranian brother, Cole.
“She is improving a lot every day. “I am very proud of her,” Sath said.
Six months passed. Then nine. Then, a year. Princess Charming was surviving longer than anyone thought possible. She Finally celebrated more than a year with her adoptive mother cancer-free!
Debbie attributes the miracle to love and a little advice from a stranger.
“I met this girl and told her I had just adopted Charm. She said talk to her. Tell her that you love her every day and that your love can heal her.”
Princess Charming’s story went viral after Debbie shared it on Instagram, touching many who felt connected to Princess Charming.
“I realized the hope, love and positivity it gave to people. I had people reach out who had lost pets and family members to cancer. People who were going through cancer sent me messages saying that the video inspired them and gave them strength,” Sath exclaimed.
