Google is back with another Pixel 8 vs iPhone 15 ad that, like the previous ones, aims to promote its features while also delving into Apple’s newest flagship smartphone in a fun way. With the latest announcement, Google is promoting its newly launched Circle to Search feature, among other AI-powered features.
The video begins with an iPhone 15 Pro ‘coach’ giving a speech to his team of ‘iPhone 15 Pros’ saying “the momentum is shifting, but this game is not over yet.” The ‘team members’ then go on to say that “the other team,” which is Google, “keeps getting new AI features!” like AI-powered Circle to Search and Video Boost.
The conversation also mentions other features like “Advanced AI to fix group photos and summarize recordings and reduce noise in videos” that Google has already announced in its previous announcements.
The ad then continues with a veiled dig at the iPhone 15 Pro, which got significant design changes including “contoured edges, a differently shaped charging port (USB Type-C)” and became 0.67 ounces lighter in comparison with the previous model.
“Yes / Coach is right / Mmmhmm,” the team nods, to which the iPhone 15 Pro coach responds: “See? “You don’t need sophisticated artificial intelligence to edit photos and filter unwanted calls.”
