Barry Manilow announces final concert in Des Moines

Hi guys. Welcome, Courtney. Nice to meet you, Courtney. Welcome to the morning. What’s happening? How are you every time you have an answer? Do you spend that much time in the store? Where did you guys come from? Um Minneapolis. Is that where you or? Yes, we arrived this morning testing 12123412. Hello guys. So, lights, you can get a little bit closer and then move away to the side. Alright. Well, tell me, first of all, how did you spend the holidays at home in different places, obviously? And then you didn’t play anything like that or perform now? Yes. Yes. You played more or less alone. Well, tell me what it is, first of all, you just arrived in Des Moines. What do you think? Cold? I think I’ll have to try Iowa. Have you been to Iowa before? Do you have any ties to Iowa? Anything like that we’ve been up to? Yes, we are here in Burlington, Burlington. That’s where we were getting into some trouble. Right in River City. That was rhymes in the P position of what happened? There. This man right now, I have a whole list of questions. I don’t know what to ask, but I will say that I will ask what someone wanted me to ask you today. You guys are hanging around now, you were normal guys. Now, everywhere you go you are harassed, people are shouting. What’s that? As? I think we’re still normal guys. I mean, except a lot more people know us. That’s the only thing. I mean, it’s very flattering when people come up to us and ask for autographs and stuff. So, do people recognize you as soon as you go out on the street? Yes, we are recognized practically everywhere. I remember my Christmas vacation. I went skiing and I had goggles, a jacket with a hat for the snow up here. I guess all you could see was my mask and you still got recognized and Chris had some incidents in the malls. Uh, yeah, I mean, we get recognized pretty much everywhere we go. But how is that? Because, I mean, you know, a damn year ago, two years ago, that didn’t happen. How do you know? Or what are you trying to say? Yes ok. Yeah. It’s like being popular in high school is a really important high school. We just screw each other really, really big. Was it like that in high school? No, not for Joey and Justin. But Jay C and I were popular in high school. What is high school like? Well, what’s it like going from city to city across the country and playing to wild, sold-out crowds? It’s great. That’s one of the best parts of the whole concert. It’s one of the reasons why you do it, you do it for the people and you can see that. They enjoy it. That’s one of the best parts of the concert. What do you feel when you are on stage? And people are just going crazy. Just a lot of adrenaline. It’s just that you’re excited, excited, not nervous, but just excited about the whole experience. Now, you were all from different places, but where and how did you learn to dance? Joey taught me, he just did it. Did you know how to dance before you met all of these? I think everyone did it before we came to see me, these guys taught me how to dance. I watched Jen Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 18, 14 video like 100 million times. That’s how I learned to do it. You can’t touch this video about being 18. I mean, did you guys just dance alone, whatever you know, clubs, high school fun? Yeah, you go to high school dances, you go to clubs, you just do whatever, you know, I mean, everyone, we were, we all liked, you know, we did shit and they had their dances and stuff. I don’t know what you call it, but it was like, you know, but it was, it wasn’t, it wasn’t our style of dancing, but it was dancing anyway. I mean, it involves rhythm and stuff like that. Chris, you’re the oldest of the group. What does it look like? Sometimes when you’re out there and you know people shout things like I love you. Marry me, whatever or half your age. Well, first of all, when I leave the stage, I have to freeze everything. Make sure, you know, none of my joints and all that. I’m already, you know, I’m like Nolan Ryan, I have to put my, no, I’m just kidding. It’s, you know, we see it as very funny. We go out and just act and, as much as you, don’t block everything. But, you know, you just feel the energy of the crowd. You don’t like to point fingers at any person. You just feel the whole vibe of everyone and try to interpret the whole audience as a whole instead of, you know, highlighting the little voices because if we like, listening to every little person who said something, talking all the time. Hello how are you? Hey, it’s okay. Hey, hey, you know, well guys, obviously you’re on tour now, I’m sure you’re having a ton of fun with us. Do you have any future ambitions that go beyond touring, singing, dancing in movies or something like that? We’re going to make a shitty movie. She didn’t even notice anything. Ok, we have plans to do a lot of things, you know, we’re doing television, shows and things like that. Now we did it, we did it, uh, Sabrina Teenage Witch. We are confused. We have speaking roles and that’s why we’re excited. We always, always try to talk and, you know, it’s the glasses. I have glasses for that. No, we, I mean, we’re already starting to do television and things like that and we’re having fun with it. So, I mean, who knows where it could go from there? I mean, does anyone want to be a fucking movie star? The sky is the limit. Sure. We all do it. We will all be stars someday. We are all stars now. Well, you are stars. Did you ever think you’d call yourself a fuckstar? Not us, it’s just us, man. We are simply in sync. Uh, where does that name come from? Uh, did my mom really think about that? Because you’re totally in sync, right? I don’t know. Do you have to hit tires? Has? They said, “So I can get a couple of group photos for you.” I stay there and yes, I get on the other side here. Well, I don’t think they do that here. How is the room with everyone? OK. It’s a great franchise to make sure we’re all ready once again, just to make sure I’m focused. What about that? Hey.
