After avoiding the spotlight for several months, TV host and New York City icon Wendy Williams has returned in the two-part Lifetime series, “Where is Wendy Williams??” Produced by Williams, this emotional look inside her current life just released the first trailer for the two-part Lifetime documentary.

The footage follows Williams from backstage on “The Wendy Williams Show” to her present day, showing a very altered reality for the star.

In one scene, a confused Williams appears lost driving through the city. “This doesn’t look familiar at all,” he says. This moment is juxtaposed with a member of his team saying, “I think he’s losing his memory, have you noticed that?” He is quick to quote another participant who said, “Anyone can look at her and realize that this is not just alcohol, but there’s something else going on.”

Williams’ family appears in the documentary expressing concern for her. Her son says: “My mom has done a great job making it seem like everything is always okay. But actually something is wrong.”

In the scene immediately following this comment, a person off-camera asks Williams, “Did you see a neurologist?” to which she responds: “To find out if I’m crazy? MMM”.

The trailer also reveals that after a judge placed Williams under financial guardianship, her sister and Williams herself question that system.

“I don’t have any money. And I’m going to tell you something: if it happens to me, it can happen to you,” warns Williams.

Williams made a name for herself as the host of “The Wendy Williams Show” from 2008 to 2021. She was known for the candid advice she offered to both celebrities and audience members, in addition to her signature catchphrase “How are you?” The show was a huge success and earned Williams a strong fan base. Prior to her eponymous talk show, she gained recognition for her WBLS radio talk show, which was also the subject of the 2006 reality series “The Wendy Williams Experience.”

Williams stepped down from hosting in 2021 amid medical issues while several guest hosts filled in for her. The show was later canceled and aired its final episode in June 2022. In the trailer for her documentary, Williams expresses her desire to return to television.

The two-part documentary will premiere February 24 and 25 on Lifetime. Watch the full trailer below.
