‘Where is Wendy Williams?’
Wendy Williams has re-emerged into the public eye in an emotional new trailer for her upcoming Lifetime documentary, Where is Wendy Williams?
The trailer (below) shows the beloved former talk show host, 59, tearfully struggling with health issues amid her family and friends stepping up to offer their support. The images are often difficult to watch, as Williams has clearly suffered mentally and physically.
“I don’t have any money and I’m going to tell you something,” Williams says in the trailer. “If it happens to me, it can happen to you.”
“Mom Mom has done a great job making it seem like everything is always fine, but in reality something is wrong,” says her son Kevin Hunter Jr. “My mom always talks about how she wants to work, but I think she worked hard enough. She has people around her who say yes and who have allowed this to continue.”
At one point, an invisible man asks him if he drank a bottle of what appears to be liquor, and Williams orders him to “leave the bottle there.”
The documentary has had “unparalleled access” to Williams and his family for nearly two years, according to the description.

Williams was the queen of syndicated daytime talk shows for 12 years until The Wendy Williams Show was canceled due to his health problems. The first time she raised fears for her health was in 2027, when she fainted live. She previously spoke openly about current issues with substance abuse. In 2022, The Hollywood Reporter reported extensively on Williams’ struggles behind the scenes on the show.
The documentary of four and a half hours and two nights. Where is Wendy Williams? will debut on Saturday, February 24 and 25 at 8 pm. The Friday night before, Lifetime will repeat the biopic. Wendy Williams: The Movie and his 2021 documentary, Wendy Williams: What a disaster!.
