If you’re a woman who watches a lot of sports, you know you’re constantly inundated with commercials for male hormone products and erectile dysfunction medications. It’s just one of the things you learn to live with. Seriously, I could live a very happy life if I never had to hear former MLB player Frank Thomas say that “she’ll like it too.” Apparently, the NFL thinks these jokes are only funny when they’re made by men. Yeah Cardi B has something funny to say about a certain part of the male body, it is not appropriate for Super Bowl Sunday.

According Entertainment Weeklya large portion of Cardi ad at NYX Cosmetics because her new Duck Plump lip gloss was deemed too bold for the big game. The gloss “promises to make lips appear fuller and plumper.” However, some men cross their signals and start using Duck Plump on other parts of the body.

After the usual beauty advertisement shots of the “Bongos” rapper and backup dancers applying glitter against a colorful background, the clip suddenly switches to a simulated breaking news story, where a reporter details how men are receiving treatment for misuse of lip gloss.

“And we’re live wondering why men put Duck Plump where they shouldn’t,” says the journalist.

Cardi B x NYX Cosmetics 2024 Commercial (Uncut Version)

Men are seen being rescued by several exhausted female lifeguards, and a pharmacist explains: “Duck Pump makes your lips bigger. Nothing else.”

Even Cardi gets in on the nonsense, and the ad shows her sitting on a giant NYX throne and saying, “Where did they put it? Because?!”

Come on NFL, that’s hilarious! I understand you are pushing the line for your global family event. But you’ve shown in the past that you’re totally fine with jokes about male sexual desire, so why is this commercial any different?

Are you being too close to your audience? Or is it because it is women who make fun of men’s obsession with being bigger in certain areas?

Let’s be honest: the first half of the game was not exciting. Things didn’t get moving until Usher appeared. Showing this ad in its entirety would have given your great game the attention it so desperately needs.

Light up the NFL. It’s just lip gloss.
