Family sources have confirmed that the parents of late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, are expecting a new addition to their family. Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur is expecting a baby soon, according to a report by Indianexpress.com. While the late singer’s parents have yet to make an official statement, family sources confirmed the news. His mother is reportedly 58 years old and his father is 60.

Moosewala, who unsuccessfully contested the Punjab Assembly elections on a Congress ticket from Mansa in 2022, was tragically murdered on May 29 of the same year. He was shot dead by assailants in his car on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa district.

The singer was very popular, especially among young people, and was known for composing and producing his own songs. He was considered one of the richest Punjabi singers. Despite his untimely demise, many of his songs were released posthumously and have accumulated millions of views.

A group of assailants shot and fatally wounded the singer in Mansa, Punjab, in May 2022. Although he was rushed to hospital, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical attention. Since Moosewala’s murder, his parents have led a movement to seek justice for his son. The music video for his latest song prominently featured a flag with the message “Justice for Sidhu Moosewala”. The song’s lyrics featured his distinctive style, in which he talked about himself.

In 2017, Sidhu Moosewala forayed into the music industry with his first song “G Wagon” and quickly rose to fame with a series of popular albums. He received love and admiration for his music, which included hits like “Legend,” “So High,” and “The Last Ride,” among others.
