Will Vaani Kapoor play Aparshakti Khurana’s sister in the upcoming film? This is what we know

Actress Vaani Kapoor will soon be seen in a family drama, opposite Aparshakrti Khurana and Paresh Pawal. According to the latest reports, Vaani will play Aparshakti’s brother in the film. The film will be directed by Navjot Gulati and is yet to be titled, according to reports.

“It is a family drama set against the backdrop of dysfunctional relationships in modern times. The makers were keen on getting a cast of credible actors to lead the project and it was an instant yes from the trio of Vaani Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Aparshakti Khurrana,” a source close to the development told Pinkvilla.

“Vaani and Aparshakti play siblings in the film and bring an interesting dynamic to the story arc. Paresh Rawal, as always, has an author-backed role in this family drama,” the source added. The film is written and directed by Navjot Gulati.

Meanwhile, Vaani was last seen in the 2022 film Shamshera, directed by Ranbir Kapoor. It did not have any release in 2023. Vaani Kapoor will soon be seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Raid 2. The film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta. The filming of the film is currently underway and is scheduled to hit the big screen on November 15, 2024. It is a sequel to the 2018 film Raid which was a hit.

As for Aparshakti Khurana, he will soon be seen in Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2. According to the latest reports, Varun will make a cameo in Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 as his character in her film Bhediya. Reports mention that Varun recently finished shooting the sequence of him with Shraddha. He also had Bhediya 2 in the pipeline, which will pick up from where he will end Stree 2.

After much delay, Dinesh Vijan’s production Stree 2 finally released in July this year in Chanderi, a city in Madhya Pradesh where the first installment of the horror-comedy franchise was also set. The shooting of the film starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee is currently underway.
