The next event on the WWE calendar is none other than the two-night spectacular that will take place WrestleMania 40emanating from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2024, on Peacock, WWE Network and PPV.
We are less than a month away from the show and the billboard is filling up quickly.
- WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
Rhodes won the Royal Rumble, initially stepping aside for The Rock, then changing his mind and taking the match. The stipulations here will be decided on the night of the tag team match in which you also participate.
- World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
McIntyre has been doing everything he can to get his title at WrestleMania, and that included taking advantage of an assist from Logan Paul to win the Elimination Chamber match for the right to challenge Rollins for his title. Meanwhile, Rollins has been distracted by his and Rhodes’ involvement in the war with The Bloodline.
- Women’s World Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Becky Lynch
Lynch won the Elimination Chamber match for the right to challenge Ripley and has since maintained that she needs to beat her to prove she is better.
- Women’s Championship: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bayley
Damage CTRL turned to Bayley, behind her back, and then back to her face. That’s why he chose to challenge Sky after winning the Royal Rumble. Since then, she found a friend in Naomi to help her fend off the group.
- Intercontinental Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Sami Zayn
There are quite a few challengers who have lined up to try and get to GUNTHER and end his record reign as Intercontinental Champion. WWE booked a Gauntlet match to decide who would emerge from that group and Zayn took care of business.
- Six Pack Ladder Tag Team Championship: Judgment Day (c) vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA
Qualification matches are underway to determine who will make it to this match.
- United States Championship: Logan Paul (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
Paul cost Orton a fight for the world heavyweight championship, so Randy has set his sights on the social media star. Owens, who still has his own beef with Paul, had become an unlikely ally who got caught up in all of this. Nick Aldis announced that, well, they’re both going to shoot Paul.
- The Rock and Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins
This match will determine the stipulations for Reigns vs. Rhodes on the second night. If The Bloodline wins, then it will be Bloodline Rules. If Rhodes & Rollins win, The Bloodline will be completely excluded from the match.
These two have been battling since Styles returned from injury. When he cost Knight Elimination chamberthe man whose game challenged him to a match here and was quickly accepted.
