CBS has formally ordered a spinoff of young sheldon – in itself a big Bang prequel: will focus on Georgie (Montana Jordan), Sheldon’s older brother, and his fiancée, Mandy (Emily Osment), as they raise their young family in Texas. The project has been in the works since January and a direct order to the series was expected once the deals were closed.

Lorre and Warner Bros. TV are also developing another Big Bang Theory spin-off from Max, the streaming home of the original series. Details about that project are being kept secret.
