Andy Cohen responded to Brandi Glanville’s sexual harassment allegations, saying that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills The star was “in on the joke” but lamented the “inappropriate” situation.

In a letter sent to NBC Universal, Warner Bros. and Shed Media on Thursday, obtained by The Hollywood ReporterGlanville’s lawyers wrote that Cohen sent him a video in 2022, in which he appeared “obviously intoxicated.”

The letter explains that Cohen reportedly “bragged” that he wanted to “sleep with another Bravo star” while “thinking” about Glanville, inviting her to watch him engage in the sexual act via FaceTime.

“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter reads. “This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted.”

In a statement posted to X, formerly Twitter, later Thursday, Cohen wrote that the video in question “shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking around with Brandi. “It was absolutely in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated that she was in on the joke.” Cohen ended his statement by apologizing: “That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.”

In the letter, Glanville’s attorneys wrote that this incident “is far from the first time NBC, Bravo, Warner Bros. and Shed Media have used and abused Ms. Glanville. In fact, the institutions with which she is indelibly linked personally, professionally, financially and in the public eye have long taken advantage of Glanville. Her story, one of thousands we have heard in the course of our investigation into the practices of the reality TV industry, is part and parcel of Reality Reckoning.”

Warner Bros. representatives had no comment. THR. NBC Universal and Shed Media did not immediately respond.

Glanville’s allegations against Cohen come on the heels of a lawsuit filed against her by fellow Bravo star Caroline Manzo, who alleged that Glanville sexually abused and harassed her during the upcoming season of The ultimate Real Housewives girls’ trip.

The lawsuit, filed in January, claims Glanville forcibly kissed, “groped, grabbed and fondled (Manzo’s) vagina and breasts.” Manzo alleges that the producers were “listening to the interaction on audio” but “never opened the door or took any other action to intervene and stop the sexual assault.”

Both Manzo and Glanville reportedly stopped filming the show in early January 2023, and Peacock launched an investigation into Manzo’s allegations. After Manzo spoke out and described the incident as “traumatic.” Glanville took to Twitter to defend himself, claiming it was a “damn montage.”
